Caleb Finkenbiner announced his candidacy for the US 5th Congressional District for the Democratic Party. Caleb’s top priority is to bring an end to the gridlock in Washington. Caleb said “Those in Congress need to see the effect their inaction is having on the people they represent.”

Caleb is a 1997 graduate of Tinora High School in Defiance, Ohio. After high school, he took a job at a local factory where he worked until 2008, when his job was downsized. Caleb noted “Most of the people in Congress are life-long politicians who haven’t had to worry about their next paycheck. That’s just not right!”

Mr. Finkenbiner is the Vice President of Defiance Citizens In Action a local organization dedicated to the needs of the community. Their last service project sent a semi-trailer of supplies to help in the Haiti relief effort.

Caleb is a lifelong resident of Defiance County; he currently lives in the city of Defiance with his wife Tiffany and their son Zavier. Caleb pledged “I will go to Congress to serve the interests of the people and not those of big business and lobbyists.”
