Most political contributions are NOT tax deductible, the exception being that Ohio's state income tax has a credit of up to $50 per person (or $100 for a couple filing jointly) by Ohio residents for contributions to Ohio STATE level campaigns, such as the state legislature or the Ohio Supreme Court. This does NOT include the county Democratic Parties, local candidates or Federal candidates.
